hi, I’m saraid
I want to help you achieve balance, to live life fully, in health and happiness.
I’m a qualified acupuncturist specialising in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and naturopathic treatment principles. I trained at the prestigious College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, graduating with distinction in acupuncture, as well as receiving the achievement award for academic excellence. I also completed post graduate training in facial rejuvenation acupuncture with Dr. Jon Tsagaris.
Acupuncture champions the belief of living life in balance to nurture optimal health and vitality. However, modern living makes it increasingly difficult for people to achieve this. Finding balance while juggling all that life asks of us is tricky, and when our health is compromised, be that physically or mentally, life can get a whole lot harder. In my practice, I want to bridge the ancient healing principles of acupuncture with a modern and practical approach to wellness. So my clients can adventure through life fully and achieve all they want to - be that a more balanced way of living, ability or to address their more specific health concerns, or goals.
Get in touch if you have any questions about TCM acupuncture, or would like to discuss how acupuncture can help you.

what can acupuncture treat?
research is telling us that stress is one of the leading causes for illness and disease. This is one of the reasons I advocate acupuncture to not only treat injury and /or illness, but to help prevent it. On a very basic level acupuncture taps directly into the parasympathetic nervous system - reducing cortisol (stress hormone) and promoting things like dopamine, and serotonin (feel good hormones). Making it an excellent stress reliever and mood booster.
acupuncture can also treat a wide range of health issues and can be used as a complimentary or adjunct treatment to help support western medicine - or help relieve some side effects that come with certain medications or treatments. Below is a list from the World Health Organisation of symptoms, diseases and conditions that can be treated effectively with acupuncture.
digestive: abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhoea, indigestion or bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, nausea and vomiting (inc. chemotherapy induced), ulcers emotional: anxiety, depression, insomnia, stress eye-ear-nose-throat: poor vision, toothache, tinnitus gynaecological: menstrual cycle irregularities, menopausal symptoms, fertility musculo-skeletal: arthritis (inflammation of joints), back or neck pain, muscle pain or weakness, osteoarthritis, sciatica neurological: tension-type, headaches, migraines, neurogenic bladder dysfunction, parkinsons disease. post-operative pain, stroke respiratory: asthma, bronchitis, common cold, allergic rhinitis, acute sinusitis, tonsilitis as well as… addiction, athletic performance, blood pressure regulation, chronic fatigue, immune system support, skin and facial aesthetics
